Samos enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate and is equally as popular with cyclists, walkers and climbers due to the extensive trails leading high into the lush mountains; There are lots of traditional Greek villages to explore with stunning views as far as the eye can see. Jeep safari is also a favourite past-time as the island is steeped in history and offers an excellent variety of places to explore. There is a very efficient bus service all around the island if you prefer not to drive and a daily ferry service to and from all the neighbouring islands and the coast of Turkey which is a short distance away.
Kokkari itself is a well-developed town although it has retained its rustic charm with a lovely selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants (the standard of dining is very high and the cocktails are plentiful!) There many surrounding beaches perfect for relaxing and all offer crystal clear water ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
We would be delighted to offer recommendations for any aspect of your holiday and are always looking for people to go windsurfing, cycling and walking with!
